The Pulse picks up where the series "Alias" ended. This collects the first 5 issues. Jessica Jones just found out she's pregnant with Luke Cage's baby. J. Jonah Jameson has just started a new section of the paper called "The Pulse", which is sort of a pro-hero tabloid. One of the Daily Bugles reporters gets murdered by Osborn, (The Green Goblin) and it ends with Osborn getting outed to the public as to who he really is. This is a pretty good story a a decent follow-up to "Alias". The only downfall was going from the no comics code MAX line to the censored regular line. Brian Michael Bendis wrote it though, and he always seems to turn in some great scripts. I recommend picking up "Alias" (Available in 4 volumes) first and then going into the Pulse. Works better continuity-wise and you'll be filled in on a lot of things.
